Instrumentation of slopes reinforced with geosynthetics

Abstract

This work deals with monitoring methodologies of slopes reinforced with geosynthetics. The more important parameters to control during construction and service are discussed. The monitoring methodology used in two cases published in bibliography are described. A Portuguese case study of a geosynthetic reinforced structure is described, including the monitoring methodology adopted. Finally. an observation schedule for the same structure is suggested.
