A Probabilistic Approach to the Stability of Rock Slopes

Abstract

This work presents a probabilistic approach to rock slopes safety analysis based on the data that is usually available for these problems (joint geometric and mechanical characteristics). The basis of the proposed method is presented, followed by three application examples and some final remarks.
