Consideration of geologic sciences in regional and urban planning. The littoral zone between Faro and Olhão.

Abstract

ln this article are described briefly the geologic and geotechnical studies developed in 1982 in a zone of the algarbian littoral which comprises Faro and Olhão cities. Also, the benefits in achievement of this type of studies to be useful to regional and urban planning are apologized. Subsequently, it was prepared the zoning maps, which are shown two of them in this paper, one corresponding to geotechnical zoning and the other corresponding to the combination zoning.
