The experimental alteration of rocks - The contribution of the Instituto Superior Técnico

Abstract

A brief survey of the experimental alteration tests of rocks under routine at the Laboratory of Mineralogy and Petrology of the Instituto Superior Técnico is hereby presented, which include: Soxhlet leaching, forced percolation, free percolation on closed circuit, mechanical abrasion and diy and wet thermal fatigue tests.
