Shear wave velocity measurement by the crosshole method

The paper describes the field procedures and equipment used to measure in situ she\r wave velocity by the crosshole seismic method. An impact source that permits the reversal of the impact, enhancing the identification of the initial shear wave arrival, has been developed. ln addition in situ data from three different sites are also shown.
