Dilatometer tests in the study of deformability of rock masses

Abstract

Dilatometer tests give different results, usualy lower than those obtained with other tests. The reasons for these differences are pointed out and a method in order to make the best use of such tests is sugested. Special reference is made to the study of weak rock masses.
