Some notes on design of rockfill dams

Abstract

Some  interesting  aspects  concerning  the  design   of  rockfill   dams  are   presented. Only static loads and related short and long term predicted fill behavior is analysed. A few considerations on construction aspects and on experimental rockfills are also offered.
