The use of fabrics, woven and non-woven, in civil engineering works

Abstract

The increasing use of fabrics in Civil Engineering works iustifies a comprehensive review of the general properties of these materials. Laboratory tests aimed to determine and control the above mentioned properties are briefly described. Some case of potential application of fabrics to geotechnical works are discussed.
