Determination of the state of stress of rock masses by the small flat jack method (SFJ)

Abstract

The application of the SFJ method to the determination of the state of stress of rock masses is analised for circular, square and eliptical galleries. Different configurations are discussed. Solutions are presented and procedures are suggested with a view to optimizing application of the method.
