Rockfills - Actual Trends and Their Influence in Portugal

Abstract

ln  this  paper  it  is  intended  to  discuss  and  make  known   the  modem   trends  in  rockfills as well as their use in engineering works, specially in fill dams.  Since in the last twenty no significant work has been done in Portugal with any appreciable use of rockfill, it was thought that this was one way that might help to analyse and possibly change the present situation.
