Considerations on the Active Earth Pressure Coefficient

The following note presents a new formula for the active earth pressure coefficient, in the general case of soils exibiting friction and coesion.
The formula is sugested for use in substitution to the one proposed by Peck (1969), because the tension stresses between soil and wall are neglected, as is the case in the majority of real cases.
