Application of the statistical method for soil compaction control

Abstract

ln the present work rules are proposed for characterizing soils of borrow pits and of reception areas of layers compacted during construction of earthfills, mainly for dams. The number of determinations and the limit values of the dry unit weight and the moisture content of compacted soils are established in these rules, as well as the dispersion of those values with reference to the standard deviation.
