This paper seeks to clarify the conclusions that can be drawn from the intersection of nuclear energy production and the precautionary principle. To achieve this, on one hand, we will outline the political landscape of nuclear energy and compare the advantages and disadvantages of different energy generation matrices; on the other hand, we will present the legal framework of the precautionary principle at the international level, establish its doctrinal boundaries, and propose its proper modus operandi.
