This paper is brief journey in the evolution of the thought of Ricardo Sánchez Ortiz de Urbina. We will start from the origins of his philosophical materialism, contextualized in the so‑ called “Oviedo School”, to arrive at the gestation of phenomenological materialism and the so‑ called “Stromatology”. In this context we will be able to show the continuous influence of the thought of Edmund Husserl and of the last reception of European phenomenology (Marc Richir, Henri Maldiney, etc.). The result will be the philosophical characterization of the evolution of the work of the Spanish thinker and author of the stromatological philosophy.
