In April 2024, the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Coimbra and its Philosophy Department were proud to welcome philosopher Bruce Bégout. The viste of Bruce Bégout, a leading figure in the horizon of contemporary philosophy, was organised with the support of the R&D Unite - Centre the Estudos Clássicos e Humanísticos and also - attesting to the interest of a large public in Bruce Bégout's presence - of Círculo de Artes Plásticas de Coimbra (CAPC) and ANOZERO – Bienal de Arte Contemporânea de Coimbra. During his stay in Coimbra, Bruce Bégout gave a stimulating lecture entitled "Climat et Ambiance. Réflexions sur l'influence de ce qui nous environne". In the posterity of this event, the philosopher generously accepted to give us an interview. We present it in the following pages, thus testifying of our admiration for a vigorous, original and multifaceted philosophical project that constantly makes us think.
