The article presents an overview of the Portuguese exile in Morocco after the independence of the country, articulating it with the dynamics of the Portuguese opposition, not only those operating inside national borders but also with other circles of exile and with the development of the political situation of the territory itself. Focusing the analysis on the evolution of the composition of its core and the initiatives promoted by it, as well as its connections with the Portuguese economic emigration there, one can also observe the relations established with other militant communities operating in Morocco. It also aims to examine how the Portuguese diplomatic mission attempted to control such activities. Finally, we venture to make a global assessment of the action of the Portuguese Democrat core in this period.
