Resumen

This research analyzes the thinking and work of Antonio Ignacio Cervera, a Majorcan who lived in the Spanish capital, the nerve center of the political and social events of the mid-nineteenth century. He left his mark as a democratic activist and, especially, as one of the members of the pre-Marxist social philosophy, promoting associations and cooperative formulas to eliminate poverty while promoting wealth and progress in the country.
