Para uma revisão da teoria do conhecimento de Michael Polanyi

Abstract

The Michael Polanyi’s knowledge theory has been considered one of the main foundations for the development of the various knowledge management models that can be found in the specific literature. In fact, the several authors that have been interested of organizational knowledge and in the processes related with, frequently resort to his conceptual model, namely to concepts of tacit and explicit knowledge, developed by him. In this article, we intend to clarify the configurations of alluded distinction, based on the work concerning this, produced by Polanyi (1958, 1966, 1966/1997), and adding some references to the implications of the referred theory for the management of knowledge in organizations.
