Abstract

We try in this text to make some points about the role of Information and Communication Technologies in teaching and learning focusing our attention on new technological possibilities supported by the Web in face-to-face contexts or in fully virtual learning contexts. The text deals particularly with the themes of virtual communities and virtual classrooms, the role of the online teacher and the Models for Online Education.
