This document presents a study focused on motivational levels in learners of Spanish as a foreign language. The sample consisted of 200 participants, natives of the Federative Republic of Brazil (São Paulo), aged between 14 and 24, all of them students of Spanish as a foreign language. In order to determine the motivational levels, a version of the Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) designed by Gardner (1985), was applied. By its nature, the research is non-experimental, with a transectional design, allowing it to have a descriptive scope. The results showed that students are highly motivated to learn Spanish, and that their attitude towards specific factors (psycho-emotional, didactic, cultural, social and formative perception) associated with motivation in learning a foreign language is favorable.
