Graphic Dialogues: The Architecture Workshop’s Didactics

This article discusses a specific didactic in the field of University pedagogy in the teaching of undergraduate course of Architecture and Urbanism. It contributes to understand the graphic dialogue as a method of production and construction of knowledge, and the drawing as a constituent element and determinant of the process, in the teacher‘student relationships, in the atelier of design. It considers the graphic dialogue as a form of interrelationship, contact and responsibility, involving senses and meanings of the interactive activity, the reflection of ideas and the experiences of the subjects. It stresses the importance of the teaching practice, whose specific knowledge needs interaction with pedagogical knowledge. It recognizes the student as an active participant in the process, becoming a designer co‘responsible for the construction of knowledge, epistemic subject of reflection‘in‘action. It believes that the graphic dialogue, in the study of practice epistemology, may be the stimulus, under new forms of dialogue, in other areas of knowledge, drawing a better quality education.Downloads
