The creation of an app to easily identify and locate areas with a high risk of forest fires is shown to facilitate their location and prevention. The app is easy to use and any user can input areas with a high fire risk. The selection is not random; it is based on a dataset with data points that, when taken individually, may not be particularly significant in terms of risk, but when considered together add up to a series of risk factors. Among these factors are: micro basins with high vegetation cover, pyrophytic species, exposure of slopes, slope, climate conditions with periods of high temperatures and low humidity, which contribute to these fires, etc.
The app uses Google's Flutter cross-platform development framework. This technology allows users to create applications for mobile phones, tablets, and computers from a single codebase, making it easy to compile for different platforms with minimal modifications. The application is available on the Apple App Store (iOS) and Google Play for Android devices.
