The analysis of risk and crisis management has been of growing importance, specially beginning in the closing years of the Iast quarter century. The objective has been to respond quietly and efficiently to disasters, whether they are grave accidents, catastrophes or calamities, which seem to occur more frequently or perhaps only appear so due to greater media coverage. Therefore, after a brief analysis of the intervening elements in the emergence of forest fires, we will proceed to evaluate some of the factors which contribute to the danger of fire. The following part concerns crisis management, beginning with the principal elements held in consideration for crisis management, emphasizing aspects related to forest fires as an example of pratical application.
