Abstract

The access to the information on incidents of natural disasters is of vital importance for a detailed knowledge of their extension and impact for the society. The objective of this research project, initiated in 2007, is to provide easy access to this information by organizing the events and structure them into a database. As this information is being compiled continuously into the database since 1995, it will certainly contribute to the determination of possible risk areas.
