Abstract

From the study of major floods in the river Tâmega (Douro basin) by its passage in the town of Amarante, aims to give a contribution on some methodological aspects to be considered in compliance with Directive 2007/60/ EC of the European Council of 23 October 2007, that has, by objective, “reduce the risk and the negative consequences of floods in the European Union.
