The so-called natural disasters affect not only the economic infrastructure of the countries as the social structure (communities and populations), but also the physical and psychological health of its members. The risk assessment should include assessment of vulnerability and impact prediction taking into account the thresholds of acceptable risk for a given society. Another concept should be taken into account: resilience - the positive capacity of the individuals and groups in context to deal with situations that can potentially cause stress and trauma.
