Abstract

Traffic accidents are a major problem in modern societies and have been studied in the individual differences level, especially in those cases were they might predict the behaviour of safety driving. In this exploratory study we intend to investigate the influence of individual beliefs and attitudes towards traffic in a military organization, as variables that may determine road accidents. Results show that the driver experience variable has discriminative power over the rate of accidents (criteria), and that personal beliefs do not have a significant impact on criteria. Guidelines are presented for future studies.
