Abstract

In this article we try to understand some of the issues that influence the behavior adopted by people when confronted with natural hazards. Specifically, we try to analyze the perceptions, knowledge and behaviors of the Cape Verde population (S. Vicente) related to the danger of flash floods. Fort this purpose were surveyed about 199 subjects living in S. Vicente, based on Questionário sobre Percepção de Perigo de Cheias Rápidas em Cabo Verde, S. Vicente.
