With climate changes observed in recent years and the return of rains, the large Sahelian cities are now facing to major urban flooding. Many "legal" and "illegal" neighborhoods proved to be really traps, often dangerous and inhospitable that sometimes force the immediate abandonment of some the residential areas (as example Nouakchott and Dakar neighborhoods). This research work aims to show initially climate changes observed in this Sahelian band, and secondly, the vulnerability and resilience of the three capitals of West Africa (Nouakchott, Dakar and Ouagadougou) to these new climatic conditions.Downloads
