Abstract

This article focuses on the relevance of books, and reflexive reading, for the learning process and the excellence of university students.
We raise some questions about how the University can stimulate ways of learning in which students feel the need to read books and attend libraries. Although the teaching staff can be an important role model for students, librarians, being “information curators” and “procedure advisors”, play a very important role in promoting some courses about how to use bibliographic databases and know the scientific writing style.
