Abstract

When the General Library joined (2010) the commemorations of the 350 years of the Royal Society of London with an exhibition and catalogue, the name of Gaspar de Meres de Sousa was not included as one of the Portuguese Fellows. This article intends to correct that omission and to reevaluate the criteria then used.
