Within this text, after characterizing the main traits that allow us to mention an actual crisis in Culture and Humanities, we attempt to define and to increase the density in the concept of New Humanities. To do so, we take the following aspects into account: 1. The self-reflexivity inherent to arts and human technologies; 2. The body recovery in contemporary culture; 3. Overpassing the separations between scientific and humanistic culture as well as the ones between reason and affection; 4. The implications in Humanistic Studies coming from the new materiality; 5. The importance of the return to the political; 6. Multiculturality and its repercussions in the Human definition. As a conclusion, we present the formulation of six principles that structure these New Humanities.
