“Falsifications” and “frauds” often come hand in hand. This work analyses some aspects of fraud, which is characterized by deception, social dimension, and the rejection of ethics or law. Fraud reduces welfare, so we must fight it. This paper also draws attention to some operational concepts, as well as to the relevance of the cultural dimension.
