Abstract

This communication presents the results of the archaeological excavations carried out in a section of the city of Contributa Iulia, close to the western gate, where the remains of an architectural complex used for artisanal activities was documented. The first documented phase dates to the 1st century AD, with the construction of a dwelling and an area dedicated to crafts in the north-eastern sector. This complex was renovated during the 4th century with the construction of new craft areas inside. It was abandoned during the 5th century, when a burial site was built inside and the entire complex was dismantled.
