Documentación de nuevas labores romanas en Riotinto (Huelva) 2014-2016

Abstract

This paper is about the Roman mining works found in Riotinto from 2014 until 2016. In 2014, before the possibility of reopening the mine of Riotinto, an Archaeological Survey of the mining area was first carried out. With the results of the Survey, the areas where it was necessary to develop the Archaeological Control of Land Movement of the mining operations were determined. In addition, the Archaeological Follow-up of the Riotinto Project was articulated. During these works, several Roman mining works have been found in the lodes of Solomon, Lago and Dehesa.
