Abstract

The subtitle of this paper indicates that we will deal with isolated cases of epigraphically documented displacements of Bracari in the province of Lusitania. For each of the cases, a critical reanalysis of the textual information is carried out, which is particularly relevant in two of the inscriptions. In Santa Maria da Feira, in the territory of Turduli Veteres, the review study brings new developments regarding the epiclesis of a votive altar associated with the deity Bandue/Bandi. In the well-known inscription of Pax Iulia (Beja) with reference to a sodalicium Bracarorum, proposals are put forward for the less consensual aspects of the text, bringing new interpretative light to it, associable to the cult of Mithras. Reflection on the third inscription, coming from the territory of the Aranditani and the only one of funerary nature, is made only in terms of its context.
