El Escudo de Clonbrin (Irlanda) y las Estelas del Suroeste. Una aproximación a los escudos con escotadura en «V» del Bronce Final Atlántico

Abstract

This paper is a contribution to the study of the V-notches shields of the Atlantic Late Bronze Age. For this, we will place special emphasis on the analysis of Clonbrin’s leather shield and it’s analogy with other Herzsprung-type shields, with special reference to the warrior stelae of the Iberian Peninsula. In addition, we present the results obtained after the experimental works we have developed around the type of support, the elaboration process and functionality of the leather shields.
