The Iberian horse sculpture from La Covatilla (Marchena), currently in the Archaeological Museum of Seville, has been published when it was embedded into the wall of a building sited in that town. When it was removed, in the 80’s, new features could be rediscovered and observed in the previously hidden part. These elements can be related with an equestrian harness corresponding to the team of a chariot. This way, the horse of La Covatilla seems to be the first real size Iberian sculpture including a vehicle so far known. The sculpture is attached to a memorial related to the military ideology of the Iberian aristocracies.
