Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution is original and unpublished and is not being reviewed for publication on another journal. If not, the situation must be justified on "Comments to the Editor".

  • Submission files are on Microsoft Word, OpenOffice or RTF format (under 2MB).
  • URLs for references were given when available.
  • The text uses a 12-pt font and images and tables are inserted during the text, not at the end as annexes.

  • The text follows the requirements stated on Author Guidelines.
  • When submitting for a blind peer review process, the guidelines stated on Ensuring a Blind Peer Review were followed.

Author Guidelines

Submission guidelines

 

  1. Digitar publishes originals in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French.
    2. The text should be sent via email (revistadigitar@gmail.com). The accepted format is exclusively Word. We do not accept articles in other formats, such as pdf. The text should be written in Times New Roman, size 12, space and a half (1.5 line spacing).
  2. The spelling and grammatical rules in each language should be taken into account. If authors want to keep an old spelling, this wish should be expressed. Attention is drawn to the non-use of macros and hyperlinks. Formatting should abide by the following rules: Existence of a space after any punctuation mark, beginning of paragraph not collected (no indent paragraphs), without interlinear space in relation to the previous paragraph and the use of italics to words written in a language other than that of the text.
  3. The text should be preceded by a cover page with the title of the article, author's name, institutional affiliation, email, abstract (maximum ten lines) and keywords (between three and five) in the language of the text and in English . When the text is signed by more than one author, the corresponding author must be expressly indicated.
  4. In footnotes should be used continuous numbering and the number of the note in superscript. Notes should be in size 10.
    6. The Bibliography is limited to the quoted titles and text citations and, alongside bibliography, they must comply with the HARVARD standard. The following specificities are mentioned: Spanish authors are listed by the penultimate name; the general works are identified by the surname of their editor or coordinator.
  5. Illustrations must be in jpg or tiff format, with a definition of no less than 400 dpi. Authors may insert it in the body of the text, or indicate the precise location where they should appear.
    8. The caption of the figure should have the following model; Figure 1- Caption ... in letter size 10.
    9. It is assumed that the Author carefully reviewed what he/she wrote. Editors will only check if the formatting was done correctly.
  6. The Journal reserves the right to refuse a paper, due to lack of scientific quality of the text or lack of quality of the illustrations, always justifying it.
  7. All articles will be submitted to peer review.
    12. Articles that do not comply with these Standards will not be accepted.

Privacy Statement

Names and addresses present in the current journal will be exclusively used for the purposes of this publication. They will not be provided for other purposes or third parties.
