This volume compiles the papers presented at the third symposium “Law and Nuclear,” held during the Study Days on 25 October 2012 at the University of Nîmes. There, various researchers joined efforts to explore the relationship between Democracy and Nuclear Energy, particularly the law governing this energy and how Democracy can be strengthened through advances in Nuclear Law studies. The book consists of twelve articles, notably those authored by Jean-Marie Pontier, Marc Léger (who addresses transparency in nuclear matters and the protection of legitimate interests), and Laurence Chabanne-Pouzynin, who discusses the operators’ understanding of good democratic practice in nuclear affairs.
