Abstract

This text contains some reflections on the complex network of principles underpinning cultural heritage law in Portugal, where, unlike the international context and several other countries, a clear separation is visible—both at the constitutional and legal levels—between the legal frameworks governing cultural heritage and those governing natural heritage.
