Abstract

The work Qui doit payer la ville brings together a set of papers prepared for a debate held in October 1995 on the important issue of financing the construction and reconstruction of the city, that is, the funding of infrastructures and collective facilities made necessary by urbanisation and building activity. The papers (a total of 16) are organised into four parts: the contribution of developers; other sources of financing; foreign experiences; and the issue of cities subject to user charges. At the end of each part, a record of the debates held on the topics under discussion is included.
