This article presents the visual poetry series Anfipoemas (amphipoems) and Contrapoemas (counterpoems), produced by Wlademir Dias-Pino and Regina Pouchain from 1995 to 2008, in order to understand them within Brazilian digital literature. We firstly describe the two series, in their verbal, visual and serial elements, as well as their connection to other works by both artists. Next, we discuss the amphipoems and counterpoems as digital literature, since they are permeated by digital technologies in terms of production (with the image editor
software Adobe Photoshop) and reception (either as artistic installations mediated by multimedia projectors, or in blogs that archive part of the poetic series). In this process, we also consider the importance of adopting a conception of digital literature situated in Brazil, a country on the periphery of technocapitalism, in order to better understand the amphiphoems’ and counterpoems’ contexts of production and reception.
