The use of educational digital games in journalism teaching has rare application experiences with students in training. This article intends to present the results of the research carried out within the scope of the Masters in Information and Communication Technologies that tested a newsgame of literacy developed for journalism writing training with journalism students from two Brazilian universities. The study aimed to evaluate if the use of newsgames in digital narratives contribute to the teaching of journalistic writing in environments of Digital Game-Based Learning. To carry out the field tests the newsgame of literacy called "Aprendendo Jornalismo" was developed. The usability analysis of the game was performed with 32 journalism students. The results showed that students reacted positively to the experiment and it is possible to assume that educational digital games can contribute to the learning of future journalists.
