This study highlights the genesis of counter-revolution as a convergence of different right-wing traditions which, after the collapse of the Restoration regime, served to legitimate Miguel Primo de Rivera’s dictatorship. Through the analysis of La Traza and Plus Ultra, the aim of this article is to examine the main ideological axes of the new anti-liberal political culture, whose antimodern leitmotivs connected the traditionalist fin-de-siècle diatribes with the fascist discourses of the 30s.
