FROM THE GREEK POLIS TO THE GAMES WITHOUT FRONTIERS: FIVE NOTES ON THE SPACE IN EUROPEAN POLITICS

The present paper compares the political forms of Greek Polis, Empire, and Modern State. Through this comparison, we argue that it is necessary to consider in its possibilities and limits a fourth political form, which appears in the Twentieth Century both in a democratic and in a totalitarian framework.
