Popular Education in the Construction of Hip Hop Bogotan Movement

This article discusses the participation of popular projects in the construction of Bogota Hip Hop. This culture arrived in the city in the middle of the 80’s decade, allows many young people to build a story about themselves, raise their claims and develop a dynamic of visibility at a time using music, song, dance, and graffiti as a show and as a strategy of social mobilization. Using a qualitative methodology, this study collects information of a historical nature, songs, and in-depth interviews that allow us to understand part of the trajectory and impact of hip hop in Bogotá.
