This article aims to present an educational experience of an artistic nature, promoted within the scope of the Soundcheck project, involving the participation of 21 students from the 9th grade. The experiences at school and in the concert hall were guided according to the following objectives: (i) identify the effects of a creative and collaborative approach on students; (ii) analyze the impact of the performative experience on students; and, (iii) from the student's perspective, understanding what influence this project had on their conception of art. This educational experience respected a methodological approach of a reflective and prospective nature, based on an assessment of the students' perception of the project, using the Focus Group technique. This project had the merit of enhancing students' creativity and aesthetic sense and did so in a collaborative and empathetic way. It also managed to arouse in the students perceptions of great appreciation for everything that has been achieved, in true communion with those responsible for this artistic foray into school and theatre. The performative moment was also valued by the students as something new and unique. Soundcheck also allowed students to (re)discover rock and punk as a musical style and theater itself.
