This article aims to contribute for the debate that has been developed around the new Statute of the Teaching Career, from the elementary to the secondary school (ECD). Because it’s a diploma that introduces significant changes both in the career itself, and in the evaluation of teachers’ performance and their progression, it matters to ask if the ECD will become, or not, a reference for the improvement of the teachers’ professionalism and so, for the change of teachers’ practices and for the quality of the teaching.Downloads
