The essential sources to the study of Roman roads of Lusitania, the Antonine Itinerary, the Ravenna Cosmography and Astorga Clay Itinerary point to a total of 56 stations, 27 of which have not yet been securely identified.
The present paper addresses the persisting problems and their root causes, while trying to update the geography of the road network of Lusitania.
